This is the fourth #20in2020 colouring challenge. If you’ve made it this far, you’re on a roll. (If you’d like to see where we started, go here.) For this challenge, we’ve chosen these beautiful words. They don’t come with a specific verse reference, but plenty of verses tell us that God is with us: Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 12:2, Hebrews 13:5, Zephaniah 3:17 — you get the drift.
Being a Christian comes with its challenges. Temptation is comes in all sorts of forms: gossip or pride, even that block of milk chocolate in the top shelf of your pantry. The ‘pleasures’ of this world easily distract us. But earthly things never last. That old iPhone 5 sitting in your junk pile didn’t make it, did it?
What does last forever? God’s love for you. And his presence with us.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons can’t. Our fears for today, and our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can’t keep God’s love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38 – 39
Remember, now that you belong to Jesus, nothing can separate you from Him. He is will us always
Once again, you’ve got a few weeks for this challenge. When will you make the time to sit down and colour? Will you do it on your own, or with others? Think about the way you colour, and your process. Are you quick and impatient? Slow and deliberate? What might God want to show you through the ‘doing’ of this?
